So my 2015 Dodge Charger decided it didn’t want to wake up this morning when I was about to head to the office. It’s parked outside my villa in Muweilah, and I’m pretty sure it’s the original battery in there, which means it’s lived a good life. I really didn’t want to deal with the hassle of trying to jumpstart it, disconnecting it myself, and then driving around looking for a replacement in this heat, especially with the Rona precautions still making me think twice about getting into random taxis. I was scrolling through my phone looking for options that could come to me, and I found a service offering Mobile Dodge battery installation in Sharjah. It seemed like a lifesaver because they specifically mentioned the Hemi engines and the battery size these cars need. The guy came by within the hour, tested the old one (which was totally dead), and swapped in a new AC Delco. He even reset my radio and clock which I wasn’t expecting. Has anyone else used these on-call guys for their American cars? I’m curious if the battery prices are generally the same as walking into a shop or if there’s a markup for the convenience.
