Just got a new car with start-stop, feels like it’s juddering too much?

So I finally upgraded my ride last week, picked up a nice sedan that’s got all the modern bells and whistles including the auto start-stop. Honestly, I’m not loving it so far. Every time we come to a halt at a traffic light near Mall of the Emirates, the engine cuts out which is fine, but the restart feels pretty rough, like a solid shake goes through the whole car. It’s not super smooth at all. I was talking to my brother about it and he mentioned that maybe the battery is still running in or something, which made me want to understanding start-stop technology in cars a bit better to see if this shuddering is normal or if I should book it in for a check-up already. I’ve seen some articles online, including one from a local site that explains how the system prioritizes power for the AC and stuff, but mine doesn’t mention anything about vibrations. Is this just something you get used to, or did I possibly get a faulty unit? Would love to hear if others had the same experience when they first started driving these systems.
