I am looking for a good way to help my child start learning French using a tablet, but there are so many apps available that I am having trouble deciding which one would actually be useful. I am mainly interested in something that keeps kids engaged instead of making them feel like they are doing schoolwork.

One option I came across was Study Cat, and I am wondering if anyone here has used it with their children. How easy is it for younger kids to understand and use without needing an adult to explain everything? I would also like to know whether the lessons gradually become more difficult as the child improves.

For parents who have tried a kids french language tablet app, what features did your child enjoy the most? Did they respond better to games, pictures, short lessons, or speaking exercises? I think keeping the lessons interesting would be important because children can lose interest quickly.

I am also curious about pronunciation practice. Does Study Cat provide enough listening and speaking activities for a beginner, or is it mostly vocabulary and basic phrases? How much time do your kids normally spend using a kids french language tablet app each day?
